MiniRoos (U9–U11) marks the beginning of competitive football for young players. Games are played on smaller pitches with reduced team sizes, smaller goals, and slightly modified rules — a format proven to better engage children and support their development.

Teams participate in leagues, but match points and league tables aren’t recorded, keeping the focus on fun, skills, and teamwork rather than results.

In 2024, we’re proud to field 16 MiniRoos teams made up of nearly 200 players, including many new families who’ve joined the Zebras community this year.

Joining MiniRoos means becoming part of a vibrant and supportive community. Parents and carers play an active role — coaching, managing teams, refereeing, and helping on game day to ensure every player has a great experience.

Our home ground at Balfe Park comes alive each Sunday during the season, with a buzzing atmosphere and a hardworking canteen and volunteer BBQ crew serving up refreshments. In 2025, Clifton Park will host all MiniRoos training sessions in one central location, creating an even stronger sense of connection across the cohort.

Please note: We are no longer accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for 2025 at this time.
