Brunswick Zebras’ junior teams hold a special place in the heart of our club. For decades, our juniors have been a constant presence — shaping the culture of the Zebras, nurturing young talent, and reflecting the diversity and inclusivity that define our community. Our junior program is built on the belief that football should be accessible to all, and we are proud to provide opportunities for young players of all backgrounds and abilities to play, grow, and belong.
In 2025, we are fielding junior boys teams from U12 through to U17, continuing our commitment to offering a full developmental pathway. Our aim is to ensure young male players have the opportunity to stay with the club throughout their football journey — from their early years right through to our senior men’s program.
We are equally committed to growing our junior girls program, with our U14 girls team representing our oldest female junior group in 2025. These players are an important part of our future, and we’re excited to support them as they progress through the age groups and transition toward senior football. Over the coming years, we’ll be expanding our girls’ junior teams to include more age levels, helping bridge the gap between juniors and senior women’s football.
Creating a clear, supported pathway for girls from MiniRoos through to juniors and then senior-level competition is a key priority for the club. We are focused on growing participation, retaining players, and ensuring young players have access to high-quality coaching, facilities, and mentoring as they move through each stage. Our goal is not only to build strong teams — but to build confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of the game.
