A big one is coming up on Thursday at Sumner

We host VPL2 outfit Essendon Royals this Thursday night in a huge Round 4 Dockerty Cup clash – a step up in challenge and a chance to test ourselves against higher-ranked opposition.

It’s the Royals’ first visit to Sumner Park since 2014, and with a night game on the eve of the Easter long weekend, all signs point to a massive atmosphere.

Cup football always delivers – knockout stakes, big moments, and everything on the line.

Our boys will be ready. Make sure you are too.

On Saturday 28 Feb, Brunswick Zebras senior mens will play their second round Dockerty Cup tie at Sumner Park, taking on East Kew FC in what promises to be a fantastic day at the club.

Kick-off for the main match is at 5.30pm, with a Reserves friendly getting underway earlier at 3pm – the perfect chance to settle in for a full afternoon of football.

The cup clash marks the first competitive outing of the season for our Senior squad, adding an extra edge and excitement to the occasion. The group will be eager to test themselves and put their pre-season work into action in front of a home crowd.

Off the pitch, it’s shaping up as a great day at Sumner. The clubrooms kitchen and bar will be in full swing, so come down early, bring your mates, bring your family, and help create a strong home atmosphere as we kick off our competitive campaign. 🦓⚽

This weekend marks the first 2026 session of our ever-popular program for five-to-eight year olds, and we can’t wait to see all those smiling faces ready for a new year of footballing fun.

We’re back at Sumner Park this Saturday as our senior men take on Riversdale SC in Round 1 of the Dockerty Cup! Our opponents from State League 4 East are no strangers to the cup, having made it through to Round 4 last season — so expect a high-intensity battle for a spot in the next round.

Be there, be loud and get behind the lads! The clubrooms and kitchen will be in full swing, offering top-tier hospitality, pouring a fresh batch of the Stomping Ground Italian pilsner.

The main event kicks off at 4pm, and our senior men’s reserves will play a friendly against Riversdale’s reserves at 1pm.

It’s a feast of female football this Sunday at Sumner. All of our senior women’s teams are in action at home, back-to-back, in their first league matches of the season.

Our State 4 West team kicks off the day at 11am against ETA Buffalo SC, followed by State 4 North at 1pm against Keon Park FC. Then our State 1 squad squares off against Ballarat City FC. Reserves at 3pm, seniors at 5pm.

The 2024 season is almost upon us, and it is gearing up to be another memorable season for the Zebras community!

Our annual Trivia Night is on again.

Come along and see if the president’s table manages to somehow win again.

The Matildas take on Nigeria knowing a win would send us through to the knockout rounds! It was a fantastic night out at Sumner Park for our last viewing party and we can’t wait to screen another exciting World Cup match, we hope to see you all down there!
